Don’t Tell Mama- Cabaret (Original Broadway Cast)
I always wanted to do this one for class, but I couldn’t afford the sheet music. The only place I could find it was in the big fat original score which was $119. (Yes, I still remember the price ‘cause I wanted it BAD!) A bit too rich for a community college student. Oh well. Maybe one day if I ever come across another reason to be preforming, I will do this one.
I DID do Cabaret, though. It was amazing. One day I will get Jerome to record me. He has no patience to record me like I have no patience to teach him to sing.
Thursday Theme- Music That Lifts You
Mary Ellen Carter- Stan Rogers
I stayed up all night listening to songs to choose one for this. I actually made a list of about 20 and narrowed it down from there. None of them fit the theme so well as this one.
I actually have no words. Just listen, okay?
(Yes, I actually listen to and enjoy this type of music.)
We all listen to the bands/artists that we like because the music speaks to us. I may not like what you listen to, but I’m not going to call you a dumb ass for liking a band that I don’t think is particularly good because I know that you must like it for some reason or another, and I respect that.
This.
