Which Way Is Up?

I told Jerome that when I get to a size I’m happy with, we’re going to go to Hawaii and go cliff diving.

It will happen. It will be awesome.

So, last night I finished an odd children’s book (the first in a series, long blog post forthcoming after I finish the other four) and started one that just makes me feel bad about myself.

…so I know reading this book will be bad for me and probably trigger me not to eat (not that I’m not already having a relapse) and just make me not like myself in general. So, why am I continuing to read it? I have loads of other books to read. I just read a book by the same author a few days ago, it was pretty dumb…but didn’t place so much emphasis on looks.

Things I should do:

Put the book down.
Go eat oatmeal.
Take the book back to the library today and don’t think about it ever again.

Things I will probably do:

Drink a protein shake.
Try to finish the whole book before going to the library today.
Not finish and give it back anyway because I now it’s bad for me and stuff.

(Kids books: Molly Moon series by Georgia Byng. Terrible book: Beautiful People by Wendy Holden. Perviously read: Wives of Bath by Wendy Holden)

I am tired but I can’t sleep ‘cause my brain decided to randomly focus on something that DIDN’T HAPPEN in the past but could have and I and/or Peach might have died.

I don’t understand why I have to panic about it now…

While Jerome was deployed, there was a shooting at the PX. I was planning on going to the PX that day, but decided not to for some reason. Other people were hurt, and that’s awful, but I wasn’t there that day.

I haven’t even thought about it really since then and it’s been several years now. Why is it stuck in my head tonight?
